Lizeth J. Garcia, Featured Artist
I am a Mexican artist, dreamer, wife and mother. My parents, brother and I moved to Fort Worth, Texas when I was 8 years old. As a young immigrant child I was inspired by the culture of this American country and at the same time became even more enamored with the country I left behind. The masters, artists, experiences and the people of Fort Worth have given me a great appreciation of what this city has to offer.
I live to learn and experiment. I am able to learn and teach from both direct and indirect experience. This wonderful way of life has taught me to be fearless when it comes to my art work and its mediums. I love working with oils, fabrics and henna but at the same time I love to experiment with new and different mediums such as papier maches, linoleum, silk screening and inks. With art you never stop learning or experimenting, that is the beauty of art and that is one of the many reasons I am so in love with it and its process.
