International artist, Ninotchka Rivera-Beavers was born in Puerto Rico and raised in South Florida. In 1994, she moved to Dallas, TX to "play house" with her then-boyfriend/now-husband, Guy. Ninotchka and Guy have been happily married 17 years and are the proud parents of three marvelous girls, ages 15, 9 and 6.
Ninotchka worked in the Advertising/Marketing industry for several years before choosing to stay home to raise her children. An avid volunteer, supporter of the arts, ongoing student, marketing consultant and freelance writer/publisher, Ninotchka’s articles and essays have been published on Preconception.com, iParentingAdoption.com, ConnectforKids.com, Babyzone.com and in Pregnancy and InFertility Times magazines. Ninotchka is also the independent author of the books “Twice Blessed: A Diary of Secondary Infertility” and "Through the Viewfinder ABC's."
Through her love of party planning and celebrations big and small, Ninotchka created what turned out to be wildly popular Elmo cupcakes in 2007. With nearly 150,000 views online, they have been featured in publications such as Woman's Day, Cupcakes Take the Cake and Fiesta Facil, just to name a few. Six years later, she still receives emails and pictures of Elmo cupcakes she's inspired from around the world.
Ninotchka's fine art photographs have traveled as far as Ireland and Italy. At any given time, her art and photography can be found locally at various group shows. Her Through the Viewfinder work was featured on NPR's photography blog and her "In Her Shoes" series was featured in the Summer 2011 issue of Square Magazine. Last summer (2011) several paintings in Ninotchka's Dot Series hung in a delightful tea house in Paris, France. They are now on display at Cafe Lago in Dallas, TX.
